Our
D4 Methodology consists of four stages:
Stage 1: Discovery
Stage 2: Design
Stage 3: Development
Stage 4: Delivery
This methodology helps us gain a clear understanding of your business, your goals and your thoughts and ideas regarding the project.
Stage 1: Discovery
The first stage of any design project is the discovery stage. As it suggests, this stage allows us to gain a clear understanding of the project at hand, your business as it relates to the website and the requirements for the web project. We'll also identify your target audience and decide what information you are trying to communicate to that audience.
Stage 2: Design
The design stage is where we start getting creative. We'll take what we learned about your organization in stage 1, and use this to come up with some fun and creative concepts that are aesthetically pleasing, engaging and that communicate your message clearly and directly.
We typically provide 2 to 3 conceptual mockups for you to review. These mockups help determine what direction to move in for your website, and time is taken to ensure we have a fine-tuned look and feel for your website before we move on to the next stage.
Stage 3: Development
Development is where your web project goes from concept to reality. Based on the finely tuned completed design mockup we've created, we'll take this mockup and turn it into a skeletal website. From there, we'll ensure you're happy with the overall look and feel, and move on to the implementation of technology, the content engineering, insertion of photography/stock photography and finally down to the debugging and final tweaking.
Stage 4: Delivery
Once the website has been completed to your specifications and our exacting standards, we move on to the delivery stage. In this stage we'll upload your website for you to our server or yours, depending upon your choice of hosting. Depending on the technology we've implemented for you, some training may be required so that you can maintain certain areas of your website.
